Ashlyn Harty

Ashlyn is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington, D.C. She was born and raised in the U.S Virgin Islands and has found D.C to be a second home to her for 10 years. Ashlyn joined One Common Unity in 2019 under the School-Based Mental Health (SBMH) expansion program at Whittier Elementary School. She then began working under the Peace Together program at OCU as a behavioral health consultant, and Acting Clinical Supervisor. Ashlyn has experience in childhood development, providing therapy to youth and adolescents, crisis management, and grief and loss work.

As someone with a passion for dance, art, and poetry, Ashlyn has been committed to One Common Unity for always welcoming and integrating creative expression into mental health practices. During Ashlyn’s free time she enjoys traveling the world with her husband, playing with her dog, and looking for more opportunities to be in the sky like skydiving or parasailing.
